What is a digital world?

digital world

Some people argue that the digital world is probably an ICEBREAKER, why? Its helps people getting to communicate with others all over the world, learn new perspectives, and find friends. Many people have expressed their feeling with great satisfaction over the Internet. Information and communication are no longer limited as we are living in a global information society with digital technology (Pillay, Boulton-Lewis & Wilss, 2004). However, there are also some negative sides, such as “digital divide", the problem of “digital identity" and “digital tattoo".

Innovations and technology advances do improve the standard of life and education, so we have the new term which is “digital pedagogy". There are many kinds of media on the internet or digital device, such as blogging, iPhone, apps, which change the ways we interact with the internet such as cloud computing and eBooks. The internet has an efficient impact on how we communicate and search for information, also how we learn from the web-based resources.

When it comes to the negative sides of the digital world, it is hard to alleviate it occasionally. For example, “digital divide" is when there is an inequality in economic and social according to the differences of different classes of people  in accessing the knowledge of technologies. Some people may miss out the participation in the digital world as they don’t have the digital device because of lacking money to afford it. As a result, there may be a gap between those who have ready access to information and communication technologies and the skills os using those technology and those people who do not have the access or skills to use those same technologies. Some people may be the top of the world while the others may be the bottom of the world.

Technology is becoming an increasingly pervasive force in nowadays. It’s time to get used to it!!GOOOOOOOOO!!
